Tide

ship_in_the_desert_021204_

A commotion of presence

hit on the blind side

a commonality of proportion

whispering its omniscience

bereft of all enchantments

force-fed cattle call

cornered faith fashions

absolution in the basement

consuming questions arise

valid cancers leaching strength

burn with chilling tomorrows

blow-back to unfettered surprise

a means to walk the field

of bottled emotions simmering

ring of promise in shadow

burnished pain forcing yield

golden diamonds cast aside

stories left behind

set the sail and look away

hoping to have the tide
