In Kind

Writing, wringing, writhing

cannot face the front

afraid of what is behind

peeling, pausing, causing

the silver to seep out

return to us in kind

feeling, falling calling

out to the inside

stars become unaligned

Pushing, shoving, loving

running so far away

Have I been predefined?

Invited, slighted, indicted

failing on so many lies

our stories intertwined

Slipping, sliding, confiding

Guess I’ve been disunited

ambitions reassigned

Crashing, smashing, recanting

need a new perspective, so nearsighted

relations now maligned

reaching, beseeching, teaching

it was all there, spotlighted

I am so entwined, enshrined

and fucking colorblind.
